Old Town Temecula has quickly become a hub for wine tasting, with an array of exciting wine bars and tasting rooms opening over the last couple of years. From intimate lounges to laid back outdoor patios, these venues offer unique experiences, and showcase both local and international wines.
Old Town establishments stay open later than those in wine country — until 9 or 10 pm on weekends — making them a great option for those who want to carry their wine tasting into the evening. Check hours on the individual bar’s websites or social media.
Humble Somm
Temecula’s newest wine bar, Humble Somm, offers up a unique-to-Temecula wine tasting experience. Proprietor Michael Marx designed the lounge to have a coffee shop vibe, where guests can linger, discover new wines, and make it their home away from home. It’s a big, open space with brick walls, colorful mid-century style lounge seating areas, and self-serve wine dispensers where guests can sample anything they like at 1, 3, and 5-ounce pour sizes.
There are 48 wines to choose from in the state-of-the-art wine machines, from all over the world, plus more wines, including one or two local ones, available by the bottle. On the food menu, there’s a gorgeous charcuterie board, pizza too, plus little snacks like nuts, white cheddar popcorn, and mixed olives to accompany your tastes.

Pamec Wine Patio
The Pamec Patio, also new to Temecula in 2025, is in a prime location in Old Town, adjacent to the historic Hotel Palmar Building. It’s an entirely outdoor lounge. One side is filled with movable wine bars, the other with lounge furniture. Tall cement cocktail tables run down the center of the patio. On the weekend, they bring in food vendors and live music. It has a very SoCal vibe.
Pamec Winery produces natural wines from estate-grown Temecula grapes, harvesting on the earlier side to achieve higher acidity and lower sugar levels. They have been growing their 35-acre Temecula vineyard for the past five years and have been showcasing their wines at restaurants and farmers’ markets, but this is Pamec’s first dedicated space.

Two Travelers Wine Bar
Two Travelers Wine Bar opened its doors in 2023 and quickly became a local favorite. With a rotating wine list from up and down the coast, plus some rare European bottles, there’s a glass here for every palate. Easygoing sommeliers are on staff to help you find the right one for you.
Two Travelers is a relaxed wine bar from the same team that opened the always-packed Goat & Vine, which means there’s also a terrific food menu of shareables like cheese topped focaccia, crab dip, raw seafood selections, as well as sandwiches and salads. It’s an inviting room, with dark walls, cozy booths, lounge chairs, an enclosed wine library, and a communal table. There are even a few tables outside. Around once a month or so, Two Travelers turns over the venue to small local winemakers, giving them an opportunity to show off their wines to a new and interested audience.

La Fata Cellars
La Fata Cellars is a sleek wine lounge with textured walls, tin ceiling, lounge seating, and brass lighting fixtures over the beautiful stone bar. They’ve recently hired a sommelier to lead tastings and guided experiences.
New to the area in 2023, La Fata is already producing award-winning wines. The 2021 Estate Syrah is excellent. Most of the other wines come from vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley, and Vito hires a winemaker there to craft his wines. The vineyard surrounds the home of owners Vito and Anna La Fata. Guests interested in learning more about the La Fata journey can book a private tasting experience at their home.
La Fata features live music every Friday and Saturday evening, and hosts monthly “club nights” with music and dancing. Check their website or Instagram to see what’s happening the day you plan to visit.

Big Nose Winery
Winemaker Roger Mattar had been making wine as a hobby since 2012. After completing a three-year enology program, he established Big Nose Winery in 2018 and opened his Old Town Temecula tasting room in 2021.
A hidden gem in Old Town Temecula, this adorable tasting room is tucked inside the Hotel Temecula, which opened the same year the Southern California Railroad first arrived in the Temecula Valley in the late 1800s. The walls are lined with historic photos, and many of the original furniture pieces remain. There’s also a spacious back patio with ample seating surrounding a fire pit, and a speakeasy-style private room available for rent. Charcuterie plates are available for purchase.
The wines are produced production facility in nearby Warner Springs. His award-winning wines are made from fruit sourced from Paso Robles, Lodi, Sonoma, and Napa. It’s a family affair; Roger and his wife, Janice, lead the tastings, and you might even see their son, Matthew, in the tasting room during the week.

Corbeaux Wine & Tea House
Corbeaux Wine & Tea House is owned by Temecula’s youngest winemaker, Regan Schneider, of Matin du Vintners. She took over the label from her father upon finishing school, and creates natural wines that she showcases at her lovely restaurant.
Wines are available with Corbeaux’s lunch or dinner menus (they have a wonderful dinner pairing menu), but they also welcome casual sippers at their bar. Along with their house label, Corbeaux offers a menu of creative wine cocktails and in-house sommelier-selected wines, cognacs, and brandy’s from all over the world.
