Leoness Cellars

About Leoness Cellars

Leoness Cellars in Temecula is a charming, vineyard-perched estate along the De Portola Wine Trail. The founders had a background in farming in the 70s and 80s, and were encouraged by some of the founding Temecula winegrowers to expand their citrus and avocado ventures into vineyards. With the hiring of winemaker Tim Kramer and operations manager Jessica Steyn, the winery opened its doors in 2002 specializing in French varieties like Syrah, Merlot, Viognier, and Cabernet Franc.

The winery has evolved significantly since then. Outdoor terraced seating was added to make the most of their romantic vineyard view, and a beautiful, casual-yet-upscale restaurant now serves award-winning California-French fusion Fridays through Sundays. (On weekdays, guests can visit the host on the member patio to see if there is availability for lunch there.) Weekends also bring local live music acts to the Leoness patio, and the terraces fill up with guests enjoying the wines and views.
