About TRUFFLE PIG WINERY

Truffle Pig Winery opened its doors in stages. It started with a surprisingly stylish restaurant, Domenico’s Italian Chophouse, in June of 2025. The following month, the Pig Pen, a clubby lounge for member-only tastings, was introduced. And, in late November of 2025, the much-anticipated main tasting room which sits at the edge of the garden pond, opened its doors. On weekend evenings, The Pig Pen lounge is open to all for wine, beer, and cocktails.

The winery is a collaboration between Robert Renzoni, of Robert Renzoni Winery in Temecula, and Domenic Galleano of the historic Galleano Winery in Cucamonga Valley, one of California’s oldest grape-growing regions. Olivia Bue, the winemaker at Renzoni, is also overseeing winemaking at Truffle Pig, along with Mollie Haycock, whose background includes winemaking in Napa, Paso Robles, New Zealand, and South Africa.

The vineyard at Truffle Pig is still a work in progress. Currently, most grapes are being sourced from the Central Coast, but the tasting room servers are quick to tell guests that all of the winemaking is being done at Truffle Pig. On the red side, the 2023 Grenache is fruity, balanced by a hint of leather. The 2023 Nebbiolo and GSM were also seriously drinkable. The bold raspberry and fig flavors of the Nebbiolo help make up for its lighter-than-expected body. On the white side, the Chenin Blanc is a standout, as is the Dry Rosé.

The grounds are lovely. A winding path leads from the restaurant, around a garden lake, to the restaurant, and lounge furniture is set up outside to help visitors make the most of the setting.
