Wilson Creek Winery, who just celebrated their 25th anniversary, is arguably the most well known winery in Temecula. Their easy-drinking almond-flavored sparkling wine has tourists and fans gathering in droves on the weekends and they are the only wine in the valley that’s available in grocery stores outside of Temecula. Wilson Creek is a stop on most Temecula party bus tours, and, thanks to their flavored sweet wines, are considered by many as a good spot for those new to wine tasting.

Dig a little deeper though, and you’ll find a vineyard management team committed to sustainable, regenerative farming and a family committed to the success of Temecula viticulture. The vineyard manager, Greg Pennyroyal, is a Professor of Viticulture and local Mt. San Jacinto College, and Bill Wilson has served as an active member on the water board for years. Winemaker Kristina Filippi is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program, has worked at historic The Mission Inn restaurant, and was the winemaker for Joseph Filippi Winery in Rancho Cucamonga for a decade before joining Wilson Creek. Her wines, like the 2022 Syrah and 2023 Rosé of Cinsault, have earned over 90 points from Wine Enthusiast.

Wilson Creek’s large tasting room and on-site al fresco restaurant, Creekside Grille, are open daily for walk-in tastings and lunch. Weekday two-for-one tastings are available by filling out the form on this page.

For a more personal experience, guests can book a seated tasting in their Library room, where charcuterie boards and other small bites are available for purchase. Or, go on their Regenerative Agriculture Tractor Tour to for a tour of their regenerative vineyard blocks and sip wine in the vines.
