For a private, more elevated tasting experience, book an appointment at VOUX Wines and sip French varieties poolside at their private clubhouse. Their views of vineyards and citrus groves are idyllic year-round.

Disney fans, or those who want a fairy-tale kind of day, should book a reservation at Briar Rose Winery. It’s designed to look like Snow White’s cottage, and there are private tables for tastings. The wine at Briar Rose might not top our list for the best in Temecula, but it sure is a special place. They’ll also help you plan a private picnic or a proposal if you’re ready!

Ponte’s year-round al fresco restaurant is set in the garden behind the tasting room. They serve Mediterranean-inspired seasonal cuisine like Cioppino and steak and shrimp skewers. While you’re there, take a stroll and enjoy the fountain and vineyard view.

Temecula is known worldwide for our hot air balloon rides. You’ll watch the sun rise as you soar over wineries and vineyards. Guests can book group or private rides with one of over 10 balloon operators in the valley.
Private Vineyard Tour
You can schedule a public tour at any winery, but it would be much more romantic to go out into the vineyard — just the two of you — escorted by a private guide. On Danza del Sol’s UTV tour and tasting, a wine educator will drive you out into their 40-acre vineyard where you’ll sip wines amongst the rolling hills.
Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride
Is there a more Cinderella-like experience than going on a private horse-drawn carriage ride through wine country? Temecula Carriage Company offers hour-long rides with optional upgrades like picnics, flowers, and chocolate-covered strawberries.

If your idea of romance is less active and more lounging, Temecula has beautiful spas at Pechanga Resort Casino and at South Coast Winery Resort in wine country. Both offer couples massages and have cabanas at their spa pools for private lounging.

A little bit biased because I was married at Ponte Vineyard Inn, but it’s a beautiful spot with vineyard and lake views. It also has a lovely breakfast restaurant and is within walking distance to Ponte Winery and South Coast Winery. Guests also have tasting privileges at Ponte’s sister winery, Bottaia.
Domaine Chardonnay
A French chateau-style bed and breakfast in wine country, Domaine Chardonnay is perfectly situated for touring the wineries but also offers couples privacy and exclusivity. Each suite has a private entrance and a private patio for taking in the scenery, and there are options to add in-room massage services.
