Pour Temecula is a new local podcast, that “takes listeners on a journey through the region’s wineries, breweries, and distilleries, featuring in-depth conversations with passionate winemakers, brewers, sommeliers, and industry insiders.” It’s hosted by Rick Delucio, a WSET diploma holder and Spanish Wine Master, and Shannon Cole, a WSET Level 3 Somm and manager of the Two Travelers Wine Bar wine club.

I’ve been a fan of the show since it launched, so I was thrilled when they invited me on to take part in their Temecula Winery Draft episode, where the three of us, plus local influencer Karagan Alcantar of Temecula Passport, went four rounds to design our perfect day in wine country. It’s a lively conversation about our favorite wineries, restaurants, and other tips for visiting Temecula. Have a listen below.

Spoiler Alert: Our Fantasy Itineraries
- Bottaia Winery, Miramonte, Uys Garagiste Wines, Palumbo Family Winery
- Akash Winery, Peltzer, Leoness Cellars, Briar Rose
- Carter Estate, Altisima Winery, Lorenzi Estate Wines, Chapin Family Vineyards
- Doffo Winery, Robert Renzoni, Wiens Cellars, Wilson Creek
For the record, I may not really recommend visiting four wineries in one day, you can’t really taste anything by the end! But if you divide any of these itineraries up into a couple of days, any of them would make for a pretty great two days in Temecula. Get it?
